Winter Shelters / Warm Rooms: Nomadic Shelter and Warm Room

              WHERE TO FIND SHELTERS:

Many of our loved ones are staying in either the Nomadic Shelter (on the Placerville side of the Mountain known as the Western Slope) or the Warm Room (provided by Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless in South Lake Tahoe.). We are grateful to the many volunteers that support these operations and to those who have donated.     VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED.   Here is a link to the volunteer hand-book.nomadic shelter volunteer handbook 2018-19

Our affiliate has spoken with so very many family members this season.  Some do not know the whereabouts of their loved one, released from the PHF without any linkage to service, others through their own family/friend search parties have found them living homeless with an occasional stay in a shelter or warm-room.

Nomadic Shelter: Nomadic Shelter is posted on social media (Nomadic Shelter on facebook) and the Upper Room where they have transportation to the church hosting. It is not every night, Friday through Monday only but please do call them if you are seeking shelter. Phone # 530 306 8073

Warm Room: Seasonal overnight shelter in South Lake Tahoe.  Supports approximately 25 individuals through April 2019 6 p.m. – 7 a.m.   Article about the warm room appeared in the Tahoe Daily Tribune
